London 2012 Opening Ceremony

Bassett Green is committed to providing the very best opportunities and experiences for it's children. Here is another great example. We were chosen to be one of only 200 schools nationally to form part of a 'Guard of Honour' for the athletes to pass through on their way into the Olympic Stadium during the opening ceremony. Bassett Green was lucky enough to represent the team from Saudi Arabia.

Here are the very lucky eight members of our school who were chosen to go to London for the day. They had a full tour of the Olympic Park and got to see all of the main venues including the velodrome, the aquatic center and the 'Copper box'. They had an amazing day and it is something they will remember for a very long time

  1. I was told about your trip and tweeted out this picture to the world! Other schools who were there also tweeted so you were in very proud company. I'm rather jealous that you got to see the park!
